faculty position summary To teach assigned courses and be
available for student assistance as needed; to be available to assist in other
normal faculty-related responsibilities such as serving on committees, helping

Position Summary: Meet weekly as a facilitator with a small group of first year student
to provide guidance with basic study and life skills. Provide a setting for integration into
LCC community life and encourage the development of relationships.
Personally guide students from the beginning of orientation through the entire first semester
as they are adjusting to university life. Also, detect, early on, students who may be struggling
and assist them in overcoming these struggles.
